Plug-In Breadboard, Small 30 Column Type



Each of the five holes in every vertical column a to e and f to j are connected internally, but not across the gap in the middle.  The four power rails are connected internally all the way along the top and bottom marked by the red and blue coloured lines.  They are not connected together from top to bottom.
